My Day 35

I am in argentina now. It has been not the best of Holidays so far. I checked into the hotel @ around 3pm and decided to do about of touring on my own. It was a bad decision i guess.

I was walking along a famous street when suddenly something wet hit me on my head. I thought it was bird droppings @ first. Before i know it, i was surrounded by three person who offered to helped me to clean my coat. They looked kind enough. Well, u may have guessed, yeah, they robbed me of my wallet. There was 100 USD worth of Pesos inside, my master card, my identity card and my driving license. I was so angry with myself at first. How stupid was it, to fall for such tricks.

I kept asking God why did this happen, why did he allow this to happen to me. I am stuck in Argentina with little money and no master card to depend on. His thoughts started unfolding on me. these were his blessings.

1) Just before i left the hotel, it suddenly hit me that i should leave some money in the safe just in case something happened to me. I would have carried all the money with me. thanks God. God provides.

2) God did not want me to just be here on holiday. He wanted me to learn a lesson. Singapore is just too safe. I have never experienced such things in my life. He wanted me to learn how fallen man have become. He wanted to increase my burden for people like this and for the poor. God teaches.

3) They only took my wallet. I had my camara on me. And thank God they did not take it. My passport is still safe in my hotel room. Which means i can still go home. My Hotel room was prepaid, which means i have a place to stay. there is buffet breakfast provided, which means i can eat till i´m really full in the morning. :) God protects.

4) Throughout this whole episode, there was this staff from the hotel who was assigned to help me. We took a cab to the police station and he was the translator for me. I realised that God must have a reason for this. I started talking to him about life, about people being so desperate that they do such things and most importantly i shared with him about how much these people need God. From our conversation, I found out that he is a Christian who does not go to church, and that he is my age! 21. I invited him for coffee, i hope to share more to him. God provide opportunities.

Seriously, i have no hard feelings against those who robbed me. (this is not a politically correct answer) there was more compassion, it hurts God to see his children having to fall to this level. I am contented with whatever little God has left me with for this trip. I will prob have to eat one less meal every day. but its alright. I hope that i can share more about god to this friend. I got his msn!! haha...

My Argentinian Beef meal is here!! Thank God.
