VIII

Dear Woodworm,

I have taught you much and I demand to see results from you. You can no longer hide behind the façade of being my apprentice because the time has come for you to show fruits to our master. Consequences as a result of your own incompetence will be answerable by you alone.

From your affectionate uncle,

Screwtape

Epilogue

The little devil has learned much. We’ve managed to do some damage to the enemy’s camp although we still do not know why the damage has been limited so far. Beware! This is only the beginning; there are many more attacks to come; many more tricks to use. Our next step shall be the enemy’s commanders.
May the devil bless you.

Chapter VII
Dear Woodworm,

The enemy does not merely ask for the lowly creatures to listen to him but to respond to him as well. It is what they call altar call. Just another part of the program I suppose. However, this is the most critical period in which you need to attack intensively or else all your effort before hand will be gone to waste. As the natural law goes, we can’t make the decisions for these creatures but what we can do is to mislead them into doing something that looks spiritual on the outside but detrimental on the inside.

The enemy had put within the lowly creatures something called love and burden for others. It is not good news for us as their burden for other lowly creatures seems like a powerful weapon the enemy uses to fight against us. But our ever wise leader had devised a way to get around it and make it to our advantage. When the enemy asks those creatures to respond, give them the alternative voice to point to them to someone else whom this creature has a burden for.

Tell the creature the respond is not for them but for someone they know. Give them the judgment that someone else would have to respond to that particular point. If we manage to have full victory in this area, we will have a so called altar call with people responding on behalf of other fellow creatures but no one responding for themselves. How foolish are those creatures, they have no concept that in such sessions, such thoughts only bring them closer to us.

When all else fails and they really respond to the enemy. Don't worry. Don't rush into action and give your stealth away. Just wait outside and bid your time. When the service ends, and the emotional high goes away, hit them with the reality. The reality that the king of the world is us. That we are the lords these lowly humans should worship. In this way, whatever respond they make during the altar call will be rendered worthless and here we go, another victory in the spiritual war.

We will win this war.

Chapter VI

Dear Woodworm,

I recently learnt a term from a good friend. The term is called Lao Jiao. By itself, this term doesn’t seem to be able to do much damage to the human soul but add the most basic elementary devil trick called pride to it and it can do a lot of damaged unnoticed. It’s a wonderful gateway for us to enter human souls.

I realized that those who consider themselves Lao Jiaos either inwardly or outwardly can range from those who have joined the enemy from one month to several years. Although it seems to suggest an idea of seniority, there don’t seem to be a benchmark of years to be considered a Lao Jiao. It is more of a heart attitude I realized. I also observed that Lao Jiaos can’t bring themselves to call themselves Lao Jiaos because it is considered too unspiritual for Lao Jiaos to consider themselves Lao Jiaos but their inner soul is already full of this syndrome.

Once there is this tinge of Lao Jiao syndrome, we move in with hordes of pride. Lao Jiaos learn and absorb things of the enemy at a much slower rate I realized, because there just don’t see the need to learn more about their so called Lord and Saviour anymore.

These Lao Jiaos have been to numerous worship sessions, week in and week out. Those creatures by nature thrive on experiencing new things. The enemy tries to entice them by giving them new experiences everyday and we can do nothing about it. What we can do is that the moment these enticement becomes nothing more then a theory for these lowly creatures – which marks the full blown syndrome of the Lao Jiao disease - we can move in big time!

However, we do not expose these creatures and cause them to leave the enemy’s camp physically yet. We still have big uses for them. During worship, bring the creature out of their emotional mode and have them pin point at how things could have been better. The lightings, the worship leader, the music, the venue are all things they can find fault with. Once the motive of their evaluations move to fault finding and not to improve the next worship session, we’ve succeeded into bringing disunity to the group.

I recently came across this enemy’s view:

Not all evaluations are bad. In fact most are constructive and good. When done at the right time at the right place and to the right people it is good. But we must not let the devil deceives us by making our evaluations occupy more of our thoughts then worship. Evaluations are meant to improve the worship sessions and not to find fault with things you do not like. Make your worship priority today

What utter rubbish.

Chapter V

Dear Woodworm,

We’ve been gaining momentum on our attack on the worship session but we need to yield results faster before any of the lowly creatures actually have a life transforming time with the enemy. The next skill is one of the most effective one I have ever managed to attain. I’m sure with that skill used on the worship session, we’ll create a huge dent in the enemy’s kingdom.

The next skill is a special skill used to attack the Achilles heel of the enemy’s stronghold. To understand how to use this skill, you must first understand the concept of why those lowly creatures worship the enemy. Although there is absolutely no reason why the enemy is worthy to be held high, he has somehow managed to use the creature’s inclination to rhythms and beats to create an emotional atmosphere of voices, music and sometimes tears.

By cunningly hiding words that praise himself into these songs, the enemy somehow managed to create this session called praise and worship in the churches today. I do admit that some of the songs do sound nice but that is because of the hard work of our master Lucifer, who was the beholder of rhythms and beats. This is where their Achilles heel comes in. Some of the songs of worship these creatures sing are really jumpy and catchy. Our task now is to captivate these lowly creatures with the tune of the song and pull them away from the meaning of the song. Let them worship the songs!

Do this well and you’ll have a façade of a great worship session with outstretched hands and great singing when in fact, all that was worshipped was the tune of the song. We love sing –a-long sessions, don’t we? This is ultimately the mark of a powerful devil.

Chapter IV

Dear Woodworm,

In my many dealings with the lowly creatures, I realized that in many instances, we do not even have to enter the minds of the creatures to draw them away from the enemy. All we have to do is to distract them with their physical surroundings and circumstances. These lowly creatures are self-absorbed creatures that are easily distracted by what happens around them. When they are communicating with the enemy, get someone to drop a message to their mobile phone or let their urge to go to the rest room becomes predominantly important.

Let these creatures compare with each other and lead them away from communicating with the enemy to result in a bunch of creatures attending a worship program which means they sing songs and do what they do for each other’s sake. No jumping, no joy, no smile, maybe let them raise their hands. Most of them don't know what it really means anyway.

Symptoms of this may include the creatures becoming very conscious in the way they look and worship and being very aware of the creature beside him. In this, we’ve succeeded in bringing the focus of the session to themselves and there we have: A wonderful concentration camp of lowly creatures waiting for us to devour.

Chapter III

Dear Woodworm,

How was your last strategy? I heard you managed to bring half the worship session out of communication with the enemy at one go. All thanks to me, you have reaped the harvest.
However, that also means that the other half of the worship session is not won over yet. You will not expect to rest in peace until you win everyone over. Even those with wandering minds can still have the chance to be touched by the enemy though their chances are much reduced. We cannot let the enemy have the slightest chance of being able to touch them again.

Your next step is to change the concept of the worship session. You have to make the worship session become a program, just a program and nothing else. It has to become one of the many programs they have every week. Just like any other programs, there is a starting and ending time. And just in any other programs, they go through the paces waiting for the ending time.

The target group for this strategy is those who do not want to be there. They are there because it’s a normal thing to do. They are there because fellow creatures will ask questions if they do not. They heave a sigh of relieve upon hearing the sentence: “In Jesus’ Name, Amen.” They do not come guarded against us. Put the following thoughts into their mind:

When is the worship going to end?
Why is the worship leader bridging again and again and again?
What is the prayer leader ranting and ranting about?
Prayer is such a chore.
How come only 30 minutes have passed? There is still 2 hours to go.
I do not like this song.

Put these thoughts in their minds and if they don’t block out the thoughts, it is bingo for you. Develop on the thoughts not blocked out and soon you’ll see restless, mindless souls looking at their watches waiting for the ordeal to end – and rightfully so.

Chapter II

Dear Woodworm,

We have had such a successful time gaining a foothold on humans ever since our Master won the battle of the Garden of Eden over the enemy. One of our biggest success since then has been our normalization of humans where humans are no longer natural at communicating with the enemy, be it speaking or singing to him. Some more determined non-believers have managed to slip pass the normalization and through much effort, they manage to just communicate with the enemy. We can do nothing about the enemy’s effort to reach these lowly creatures but what we can do is to use the foothold we already have on them - Their mind.
Let me teach you how it can be done. First of all, you need decide what type of worshipper the lowly creature is. Don’t bother about those deep worshippers; we have other methods to deal with them later. The first type of worshippers are those who are mentally tired. They are there waiting for the enemy to go to them, for the touch of the enemy to refresh them. This is the best time to get them. You cannot block the enemy from them but you can bring their mind away from the enemy.
The attention span of humans is at most fifteen minutes before a gate of opportunity opens for you to go in and steal their attention. Bring their mind everywhere, from their workplace to their family problems, to their dota game later. And before those lowly creatures know it, the worship session is over and they continue with their lives as if everything is alright. However, be careful to strike a balance that you don’t bring the creature so far that it becomes utterly obvious he is not worshipping the enemy. It makes it easy for the enemy to wake the lowly creature up from his mental slumber. It takes much practice but once you get the hang of it, it is easy meat for us.

Series

From today onwards, i'll be posting a series of post @ one chapter per day on how the devil deceit us. For those who have read C.S Lewis' Screwtape letter, you may find the writing style similar. The following articles write from the devil's point of view on how he pulls us from true worship of Jesus.

Screwtape is a old devil and he is discipling a young devil on how to attack the kingdom of Heaven.

The Devil’s Worship
(A work inspired from C.S Lewis’ Screwtape Letters)
Dedicated to Our Lord Jesus Christ

Prologue

I smell blood. The blood of a young devil; Full of bite, full of venom, but yet to acquire the art of the learned. Once fully armed and unleashed upon the enemy camp, he’ll be the greatest addition to the team since I came to serve the Master. For now, it is my job to bring up this young devil., to teach him the art of the learned – A skill which all devils must have in order to pass the doors of Hell.

Chapter I
Dear Woodworm,

Your task is to attack the church today. Our statistic shows that a large
number of those irritating non-believers of Hell switch alliance to the enemy
camp during something called worship where the enemy somehow managed to touch their heart. None of us have ever experienced what is it like but we know that it is something which can sway human minds away from us and cause them to make sudden emotional decisions to join the enemy. After which it takes much effort to win them back to us.

More specifically, we want you to attack the lower beings’ worship of the enemy. You will strengthen our base tremendously when you win over a few of those lower beings wearing the enemy’s seal, without their knowledge and continue to plant them in the enemy’s camp to wreak havoc. When they really leave the enemy’s camp for good, they will provide good testimony of how deprived those non-believers of Hell are. It is so simple to attack them and I will give you a few pointers here so that you will no longer be barren and be looked down by your fellow devils.
