I had dinner with my parents today. We were just chatting and a very interesting conversation came up.
Dad: Boy ahh, you are going to start university tomorrow.
Me: Yeah.
Dad: You know next time after you step into the society and have a stable career already, you may want to start a family.
Me: hmm...
Dad: Next time when you find a wife, you can find whoever you like but make sure she knows how to cook, can do house work, etc etc.
Mom: Like that, noboby will ever want your daughters you know?
Hahaa... I was wondering how come he is more concerned about my future wife then me. hahaa...
Let me see the requirements he laid down.
1) Can cook 2) Can do house work
Hmmm... Why not marry a maid? hahaa...
But the sweet thing is, the more he describe the kind of wife i should get, the more it sounds like my mom. Oh well.... :)
It hit me recently that a lot of guys my age tries to impress girls when they are young. I guess it is in the genes. So they do all sorts of things to prove themsevles worthy to be prince charming. It is also good for the ego when you know girls are falling all over for you. However, if you observe those married guys, if they are faithful, one of the things they are most afraid of is to impress the opposite gender other then their wife. It creates an uneasy feeling in the couple.
I came to a conclusion that:
In my life time, no matter which stage of life i am in, there is only going to be one lady i'll ever need and ever want to impress. That is my wife-to-be or my wife.
